A license for each installation.
The $99 introductory price for the first 500 paid pre-orders covers one Edgar Base license for one computer. Install and run Edgar on two computers? You need two licenses.
Clear answers before you buy.
One license per device running Edgar. Each additional installation requires a separate license. Using a phone, tablet, or another computer only as a remote browser client does not require another Edgar installation license.
Access your licensed Edgar host through its web interface over a configured VPN. Your host computer must stay powered on, connected, and running Edgar. A compatible browser and VPN connection are required on the remote device. A cable modem alone does not provide a VPN. Remote access is working in our macOS development setup; broader host and browser compatibility will be confirmed before release.
Application Development brings existing TAi-Code technology into Edgar for Python, scripts, debugging, and application workflows. $149 one time per licensed host, additional to Base. Supported tools and installation requirements will be listed before add-on sales open.
An AI model is the downloaded component that generates answers. Edgar is the application you use to work with it. Guided setup is planned to help with installation; the exact model-selection and download steps are still being finalized. You do not need to choose a model to join the free launch-update list. If you need setup or computer compatibility confirmed before paying, contact info@pyrinas.co.
Your Edgar license covers Edgar software only. AI models are downloaded separately by the user from third-party sources. Pyrinas.co does not own, supply, or license those models. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with the license and usage terms of each model they download and use, including any commercial-use restrictions.
You purchase a perpetual software license to use the purchased version. Pyrinas.co retains its intellectual property. Third-party components and models retain their own licenses. One license covers one device running Edgar. Additional installations require separate licenses. Review the preorder details before paying; contact info@pyrinas.co with licensing questions. Bug fixes and vulnerability patches are always free.
The Edgar Productivity Suite brings our existing productivity technology into Edgar: slides, documents, and spreadsheets, without requiring Microsoft applications. $79 one time per licensed host, additional to Base. Check supported import and export formats before purchasing.
Narrative Wave brings our existing research technology into Edgar for deeper news research and coverage comparison. $39 one time per licensed host, additional to Base. Basic news aggregation remains included with Edgar Base.
At release, the website will provide the installer. You will open it and approve your computer’s installation prompts. Guided setup is planned to automate the supported installation steps. Public installers are not available yet.
The Home & Device Automation add-on uses our existing device automation technology, with supported connections covering Matter and compatible device connectivity, Apple Home, Siri, Windows AI integration, and optional Home Assistant connectivity. Customers choose which devices and actions Edgar may access. Availability depends on the device, operating system, permissions, and any required compatible controller or bridge. Exact compatibility will be published before sale.
Planned Windows protection binds the perpetual license to a TPM-protected device key, with local checks at startup and during use. Initial activation uses the purchase service; ongoing checks are designed to work offline. Device transfers and license recovery are handled through Pyrinas.co support for a moderate service fee, disclosed before service begins. This protection is not yet active in the preview.

Put compatible existing computers to work, or choose a compact device suited to your needs. Match your local model to your hardware and the tasks that matter to you.
Keeping a suitable older computer useful can help delay a new purchase and reduce electronic waste. Compatibility, memory, and performance still matter.
A smaller model on suitable hardware can handle useful everyday tasks with less computation than a larger model. Compact devices are an option when they meet your workload’s requirements.
Run supported tasks on your own device without sending each request to a remote inference service. Keep control of your local workflow with Edgar’s one-time software license.
Environmental impact depends on the model, hardware, workload, electricity source, and device lifetime. Local AI is not automatically lower-carbon than cloud AI. Capabilities and speed vary; equivalent performance to every larger cloud model is not promised. Edgar-specific energy savings have not been measured.
